Bull Run Conservatory

It seems the closer we move to DC, the more golf courses, housing developments, and metro lines we see. However what we don't see is the distruction cause by human in the surrounding wildlife areas. We visited Bull Run Conservatroy where they do several tests on streams in the area and further into DC to monitor the water and wildlife qualities. On our trip, we tested the water quality and counted amounts of macro-invertebrates within certain areas of the stream.

In nine spots on the stream, we dug up rocks and scraped them in a square foot area, captuing any animals in the area in the net.

After scaning our nine zones, we emptied our net and searched for marco-invertabrates for a quick snack.
